ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stuart J. Sia graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Urban and Regional Studies. He is currently serving as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Botswana.

As a Life Skills Technical Advisor, Sia is working with the Department of Guidance & Counseling at Mogobane Community Junior Secondary School assisting with the infusion and implementation of the Life Skills Curriculum mandated by the Ministry of Education. His projects include the building of a community gardening centre with the Mogobane Disabled Persons’ Committee, and the the establishment of the Mogobane Literacy Project at Mogobane CJSS.

In Botswana, Sia is known as Tshiamo, a Setswana word meaning goodness and righteousness. His service ends June, 2011.
